Hello, I’m Zach!
I’m an artist, educator, and longtime community advocate with a deep commitment to Sioux Falls. For years, I’ve worked alongside neighbors, schools, and community groups to make streets safer, strengthen neighborhood connections, and create public spaces that reflect the people who live here. From traffic calming and school safety projects to public art and placemaking efforts, my work has focused on practical, community-driven solutions that make everyday life better.
I’m running for City Council because Sioux Falls is facing real choices about how we grow, invest, and care for our community. While there are many important issues facing our city, three are especially close to my heart:
Stronger Neighborhoods, Safer Streets
Our neighborhoods thrive when we invest in them. I’ll work to strengthen neighborhood associations, improve street safety, and calm speeding traffic—creating people-focused places where families feel safe, connected, and proud to call home.
Fiscally Responsible, Smarter Growth
Our focus shouldn’t be on chasing shiny, new mega-projects. We need to invest in proven ideas that strengthen what we already have like maintaining our current infrastructure, revitalizing underutilized spaces, and managing our growth responsibly so taxpayers aren’t left paying the price later.
Transparent, Community-Driven Leadership
I’ll make sure the community is heard and involved in decisions that affect them, with honest, transparent communication and real public input. I’ll bring creative ideas and a clear vision to the council—without ties to PACs or special interests. I’m not a rubber stamp, and I’m not afraid to ask hard questions, push back when needed, and fight for what’s right for our residents.
